Guardian Dog Program
The Basics of the Guardian Program
In order for us to give our dogs the best possible home, it is important for us to limit how many dogs we keep in our home. However, to be a breeder of quality dogs we need to continue, evaluate, and add quality bloodlines into our breeding program. We like to keep a few of our pick puppies to monitor their growth and development, and some of these puppies will eventually fit into our breeding program -- we prefer to place these pick puppies/young adults in guardian homes. A Pomsky needs to be a part of the family to develop their full potential, and this is why we have the guardian program.
We are placing the dog to the guardian family to raise and love and keep as a member of their family and ownership after program completion. The family must be approved as guardian parents and agree to abide by our contract of care.
The guardian home program is an excellent situation for the dog, it's a great deal for guardian parents, and is ideal for producing an exceptional Pomsky breeding program. It is one of those "win - win" situations for everyone involved. The family receives a quality, top pick dog for their forever pet, we are able to improve the breed by using only the best for bettering the breed, and the reason we instigated our guardian program -- the dog lives in a forever home, recieving one-on-one of attention, training and appropriate care.
We have different situations where you can temporarily guardian as well. And should you decide to help raise the puppies, we compensate for your help.
Guardian Family (GF)Basic Requirements
Example arrangement:
Guardian Family (GF) receives puppy/dog from Oxsana Perfect Pomsky designated for the GF program. GF agrees to provide veterinary care for the dog, with regular vet visits. GF is responsible for medical/veterinary care for the dog, for immunizations, heartworm preventative treatments, flea/tick preventative treatments, rabies immunizations and any/all other health care issues, associated costs and recordkeeping. GF is responsible for obedience training. GF agrees to return the dog to us for breeding, pregnancy and litter raising. The GF dog will be bred for a certain number of litters, according to the contract. At the end of the contract period, we will pay for spaying/neutering. GF is responsible for all vet costs, food, veterinary treatments and costs just as if the dog were purchased and owned outright by the family.
If at any time the program does not work out for the GF, we will take the dog back. Until the end of the contract period, the dog belongs to us! After the end of the contract, the dog is 100% owned by the Guardian Family.
